I had to add this quick post. I'm reading Judith Uyterlinde's book (again!) My Quest For Motherhood and found this passage. The words are so powerful.
"When someone dies, the funeral is a form of mourning that makes it possible for the relatives to share their grief. You can all take your leave of the body together and afterward share memories of the deceased. But no one has any memories of our children. To others, it didn't even exist yet. It existed only in my belly and in my head. With a miscarriage there are no rituals, there is no funeral. With a miscarriage there is nother, absolutely nothing, except for the unwritten law that you bear your loss in silence".
So powerful!
